NCMEA, Nepal Carpet Manuacturers & Exporters Association successfully completed its fouth Annual General Meeting on 30 Sep, 2021. The association organized its 4th AGM virtually respecting the notice of Nepal goverment. Nepal Government, Ministry of Health and population had issued the notice to avoid the huge gatherings and seminars due to the presence of Pandemic Covid 19 in Nepal. 

Hence, to run the association's yearly programme the association organized its AGM as per the notice issued by the Nepal Government. The association had called only the executive members of the association at the venue. Additionally, the association had informed and requested all the general members to attend the AGM online. Providing the zoom link association had facilitated the general members to attend the fourth AGM.  As per the Nepal's law the General Secretary, Mr. Dawa Sherpa provided the information of the tasks executed by the association to the meeting and all the participants. Similarly the Treasurer, Mr. Dan Bahadur Chand Thankuri, also provided the information about the audit report of the association.

The 4th AGM made several plans and programme to execute in coming years for the betterment of the entire Nepalese Carpet Industry. The President of NCMEA Hon. Ram Bahadur Gurung  shared his opinion that Nepalese Carpet Industry surely sustain, if the government's concern is added towards the Nepalese Carpet Industry. The president added, remaining under the instruction of Nepal government, Nepalese carpet sucessfully executed its tasks of production despite of the pandemic.

President also said that the government should prioritize the Nepalese carpet sector as  the agriculture sector. He also assured Nepal government that Nepalese carpet industry will surely increase the employment opportunities and contribute Nepalese economy. The president informed all the general members about the progress of registration process of the collective trademark in USA, EU and UK. He also thanked the team of the collective trademark for all the tasks being executed.
