New technology has been brought to the solid basis of ethnic designs, materials and procedures beside improving the abilities of Nepalese weavers in response to the rising market. As a result volume and quality have improved without eliminating the hall marks of hand craftmanship. Inspection and follow-up actions throughout the production processhave ensured that the quality of the Nepalese carpet is maintained. Although being refered to as merely a carpet in the ordinary sense, the Nepalese carpet has a distinct image, recognition and worht in national and worldwide marketplace.
